How Do I Customize eFax MyAccount?

eFax® makes it easy to update and customize your customer profile, account settings and appearance from within your MyAccount online portal.


Update Your eFax Customer Profile Within MyAccount

To update and customize your eFax customer profile:

  • 1. Log in to eFax MyAccount.
  • 2. Click Update Account.
  • 3. Click the Profile tab.
  • 4. Click the Activity Log.
  • 5. Click Edit beside the preference you’d like to update.
  • 6. Select the desired options or edit information, and click Update.
    To remove information, delete the text and click Update.

Note: Your profile must contain at least one telephone number.


The customer profile details you may customize include:

  • Name
    The contact name for your eFax account. This name is automatically inserted into fax cover pages sent using Websend®.
  • Contact Email
    The email address eFax will use to contact you with service updates, password resets and other information that might affect your account..
  • PIN
    A 4-digit number used to log in to eFax.
  • Company Name
    Your company name (optional).
  • Home Number
    Your home telephone number.
  • Work Number
    Your work telephone number.
  • Mobile Number
    Your mobile telephone number.

Customize Your Settings and Fax Appearance in Account Preferences

To customize your eFax account settings and fax appearance:

  • 1. Log in to eFax MyAccount.
  • 2. Click Update Account.
  • 3. Click the Preferences tab.
  • 4. Click the Activity Log.
  • 5. Click Edit beside the preference you’d like to update.
  • 6. Select the desired options or edit information, and click Update.
    To remove information, delete the text and click Update.

Note: If you have multiple fax numbers linked to your eFax account, some preference settings will affect your entire account, while others will affect only the specific eFax number listed as the main number on your account.


The customer profile details you may customize include:

  • Enhanced Security
    For eFax Plus or eFax Pro users, this feature adds a layer of security for faxes both in storage in the cloud as well as in transit. Learn more about Enhanced Security.
  • Language Preference
    Set the language used for email sent to you from eFax. This setting will be made across your entire eFax account.
    Note: This will not change the eFax website language.
  • Time/Date Preference
    Set the time zone and time/date format. This setting will be made across your entire eFax account.
  • Default Home Page
    Choose your preferred page to display when you log in to MyAccount — either MyAccount home or Message Center. This setting will affect only the main number associated with your account, not any of your account’s additional numbers.
  • Send Email Addresses
    For eFax Plus or eFax Pro users, this feature lets you establish a set of email addresses from which you can send your faxes through eFax. Each time you create a new fax message to send, you can select your preferred email address from this list.
  • Receive Email Addresses
    For eFax Plus or eFax Pro users, this feature lets you establish the email addresses at which you would like to receive faxes through eFax.
  • Receive Fax Options
    For eFax Plus or eFax Pro users, this feature lets you set preferences for how you would like to receive faxes through eFax.
